Execution for Hackers & Virus Creators

Ok, so computer hacking & viruses are not my normal topic on this blog. But that is not to say that these topics don’t relate to economics or politics. In fact, computer viruses affect millions of people and cost our economy over $50 Billion Dollars a year (and climbing). Computer Hacking (as a general term) is the fastest growing segment of crime in the WORLD. It is also deeply entrenched in politics. When viruses are sent to the U.S. from China, North Korea or elsewhere you can bet that politics are involved.

Have you noticed a serious uptick in e-mail viruses lately? I have received over 25 virus filled emails in the last 2 weeks. (Don’t worry, my computers are safe.) They all have the same thing in common, to persuade me to open an attached .zip or .exe file by stating that my account [any] has changed, or that my FedEx package “could not be delivered to my address”.

Fortunately, I’m not that gullible. Although the first one I got I actually considered opening it (just for a second) because I was actually expecting a package that very same day. Thank God, that I didn’t. I’ve since learned that it was a particularly nasty virus.

These emails just kept coming. The tactics and wording would change, but the setup was the same. Sometimes they would look as if they were sent from Facebook, Amazon, FedEx or others (everyone should learn how to read the headers). I’m sure that it is just my imagination but I really felt like I was getting a full court press. As if, someone was really out to get me. (Considering how many Liberal Freaks that I piss off with my blog, I would not be surprised if they really were.)

Which brings me to my point. We should sentence convicted hackers and those who make computer viruses to EXECUTION. Preferably, in the most horrific way possible and in the middle of the town square at high noon. No joke.

Consider this. Someday, some teenage punk in one night of idiocy could create a virus that could (potentially) spread across the entire nation. He/she could wipe out power grids, satellites (communications) and water purification plants. They could destroy millions of computers at people’s homes and businesses. Whether by panic or by the virus itself they could cause stock markets to crash. Banking systems might not only go offline – they might scramble your accounts and wipe out your account. In short, this crime more than any other, has the ultimate potential to destroy more lives than any other single event created by mankind. And no mask or isolation could protect you.

Now imagine that it’s not just some punk kid, but a foreign government with $100 million budget, doing it on purpose. In fact, we have learned that most computer attacks are sanctioned by foreign governments, in particular – CHINA.

Just this past January, China got caught with their hand in Google’s cookie jar. Let’s pause for a moment and consider the effects of a successful hack such as this. If they get Google, they actually have control of EVERYONE’S web browser (through applications). Every account number, password and credit card that you use could be intercepted. But your just a small fry. They are not interested in the average U.S. Citizen … unless you work at a power company, or in Aerospace, Defense, Bioengineering or ANY government job. Then they will use you to get to that facility, without you even knowing it.

But whether it’s China or some terrorist organization, following in the tradition of Sun Tzu they will wait until the moment is right. When they feel that we are most vulnerable, they will strike with a furry never seen before. In an instant, your life could be over. Everything you ever worked for, every dime you ever made. Even the roof over your head, could be gone.

So, for all you Liberal Freaks out there who spout off that Iraq was an [unjust] war about oil or some other bullshit, you might want to remember that 911 was NOT about extracting justice for criminals who bombed the trade center with aircraft. It was a wake-up call that we need to take terrorism seriously. We need to take preventive steps to kill terrorists before they kill us. Including Saddam Hussein – Regardless of whether or not he had anything to do with 911. Frankly, President Bush probably saved your worthless Liberal Freak Life.

It’s time that we stop fooling around. We need find the SOB’s that hack into our computers and/or create viruses and start executing a few of them, publicly. Our kids need to know that it’s not a damn joke and our enemies need to know that we will seek them out – regardless of where they are located.

Now, put that in your pipe and smoke it.
